Mous iPhone Case Review: Limitless vs Clarity vs Super Thin
Share
Quick answer: Choose Mous Limitless if protection and premium finishes are the priority, Clarity if you want a transparent case with AiroShock and optional/current magnetic support depending on variant, or Super Thin if minimizing bulk matters more than maximum drop protection. Do not assume every Mous case has the same magnets or protection level: current Super Thin variants can be MagSafe/Qi2 or non-magnetic, and Mous itself says Super Thin is less protective than Limitless or Clarity.
Review method: Research-based update using current Mous product pages. CASEBX did not conduct the multi-week lab tests, concrete drops, UV exposure tests, magnet pull-force measurements, abrasion tests or material-aging experiments described in the previous article. Those unsupported results have been removed.
Current Mous lineup at a glance
| Case | Protection focus | MagSafe / Qi2 | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Limitless | Mous’s toughest, most feature-rich line; corner-focused AiroShock + rigid shell | Yes | Premium everyday protection |
| Clarity | AiroShock + rigid clear shell | Available with MagSafe/Qi2 on current magnetic variants | Showing the iPhone finish |
| Super Thin | Minimal coverage / everyday durability | Depends on variant; magnetic and non-magnetic versions exist | Minimum bulk |
Limitless: best for maximum Mous protection
Mous currently describes Limitless as its toughest, most feature-rich case. The design uses corner-focused AiroShock and a rigid interlocking polycarbonate shell, with raised screen and camera protection and an integrated magnetic array for MagSafe and Qi2. Current versions also account for Camera Control and are sold in premium finishes including aramid fibre and natural-material options.
The old article froze the lineup around “Limitless 5.0” and then added unsupported 4-foot concrete tests, exact thickness scores and N52 magnet rankings. The current product is better evaluated by what Mous actually publishes now: protection architecture, exact-device fit, magnetic compatibility and material choice.
Clarity: best clear protective Mous case
Current Clarity uses a rigid PCTG co-polyester shell plus corner-focused AiroShock. Mous also highlights a reinforced Camera Control surround, raised camera protection, UV/anti-yellowing features and scratch-resistant treatment. On the magnetic Clarity variant, the built-in array supports MagSafe and Qi2.
Anti-yellowing technology should not be read as a lifetime guarantee that a clear case will never change appearance. Mous presents it as technology intended to preserve clarity; real aging still depends on UV exposure, heat, oils, abrasion and use.
Super Thin: best when you dislike bulky cases
Super Thin is the least protection-focused option of the three. Mous explicitly says the line prioritizes thinness and everyday durability and is not as protective as Limitless or Clarity. Current clear versions are around 1.1 mm at the sides and 2 mm at the back, according to Mous.
Most importantly, magnetic compatibility varies. Mous sells a clear non-MagSafe Super Thin variant that supports standard Qi wireless charging but contains no magnets and does not support MagSafe/Qi2 accessories. Mous also sells magnetic Super Thin versions with built-in magnets for MagSafe/Qi2. The old article’s statement that all lines have the same high-strength magnetic integration was therefore inaccurate.
How should you choose?
- Limitless: choose it if you want Mous’s flagship protection architecture, premium finishes and magnetic accessory support.
- Clarity: choose it if you want to see your iPhone while retaining a more protective AiroShock design.
- Super Thin: choose it if the feel of a nearly bare phone matters more than maximum impact protection; verify whether the exact variant includes magnets.
What this review does not claim
CASEBX has not independently measured Mous magnet pull force, drop survival height, UV yellowing, pocket abrasion, button force or long-term warping. We also do not claim wireless charging is identical through every case. Charging performance depends on the iPhone, charger, power adapter, alignment, temperature and case/accessory combination.
MagSafe basics
Apple explains that supported iPhones can attach magnetically to a MagSafe charger directly or through a MagSafe case. That makes exact-variant verification important. A thin case that allows ordinary Qi charging is not automatically a MagSafe case if it lacks an integrated magnetic array.
FAQ
Which Mous case is most protective?
Mous currently positions Limitless as its toughest, most feature-rich case. Clarity also uses AiroShock, while Mous says Super Thin is less protective than both.
Does every Mous case support MagSafe?
No. Current Super Thin clear variants include both magnetic and non-magnetic versions. Check the exact product page before buying.
Does Mous Clarity yellow?
Mous uses materials and coatings intended to reduce discoloration, but no honest review should promise that a clear case will remain visually unchanged forever.
Is Super Thin good for frequent drops?
It is designed around minimal coverage and everyday durability rather than maximum protection. Frequent droppers should start with Limitless or Clarity instead.
