Protection: 7X vs 20 feet are different test languages
OtterBox publishes 7X testing to military drop standard 810G-516.6 for Defender Pro XT. SUPCASE's current iPhone 17 UB Pro page states MIL-STD-810H certification and a 20-foot drop-resistant claim; SUPCASE also cites historical third-party UB Pro testing from MET Labs and CNET.
Those figures should not be converted into a simple laboratory winner. The companies use different wording, test references and product histories. The old article claimed CASEBX reproduced extreme drops itself; that claim has been removed.
