Spigen remains broad and modular. You can choose a low-profile Thin Fit, a clear Ultra Hybrid, Rugged Armor or a more substantial Tough Armor T. ZAGG's current iPhone 17 catalog emphasizes graphene-fortified materials, clear and colored finishes, kickstand options and replacement coverage.
The old article leaned heavily on D3O and legacy Gear4 product names. ZAGG's current iPhone 17 pages instead prominently market graphene across cases such as Crystal Palace Snap, Milan Snap, Manhattan Snap and Sedona Snap. The update therefore compares what is actually on sale now.

Protection: no more invented D3O lab result
ZAGG currently states that products such as Sedona Snap and Crystal Palace Snap protect against drops up to 13 feet under the cited military-standard testing. ZAGG also describes graphene fortification as part of the protective structure.
Spigen's Tough Armor T uses XRD impact foam and a triple-layer construction with military-grade protection language. Rugged Armor uses TPU, impact foam and reinforced features at a lower price. These are different product architectures and different manufacturer test claims.
The old article asserted that CASEBX sensors measured lower shock through ZAGG cases. We do not have evidence for that experiment, so it has been removed. A material name alone is not enough to prove one case protects better in every fall.
MagSafe and accessory support
Spigen marks magnetic versions with “Mag Fit.” ZAGG uses “Snap for MagSafe” on many magnetic models. Buyers should still check the exact product because both companies may sell cases with different magnetic configurations.
For stands, Spigen Tough Armor T integrates a kickstand. ZAGG's Sedona Snap with Stand also includes a stand while retaining MagSafe. This makes the two brands much closer in feature set than older comparisons suggested.
Clear-case choices
Spigen's Ultra Hybrid line is the familiar clear-case option. ZAGG's Crystal Palace family focuses on transparency, anti-scratch finishes, anti-yellowing claims and graphene fortification. Clear-case aging depends on the exact mix of flexible and rigid materials, UV exposure, heat and skin oils. We do not claim either will remain perfectly clear forever.
Warranty and replacement value
ZAGG prominently advertises free replacements for cases and screen protectors, with shipping and handling conditions. That can matter if you keep a phone for several years. Spigen lists warranty terms by product and currently shows a two-year manufacturing warranty on Tough Armor T.
