Two iPhones can have a similar screen size—or even very similar height and width—while differing in thickness, camera layout, button position, Camera Control, speaker openings or port geometry. Why screen size is not enough
A “6.1-inch iPhone” label describes the display class, not the shape of the case shell. A fitted case has to align with the entire exterior of the phone. That includes:

- side-button and volume-button locations;

Can an iPhone 13 case fit an iPhone 14?
Do not treat them as universally interchangeable. Apple lists the iPhone 13 at 146.7 mm tall, 71.5 mm wide and 7.65 mm deep, while the iPhone 14 is 146.7 mm tall, 71.5 mm wide and 7.80 mm deep. Similar exterior dimensions do not guarantee that every rigid shell, camera opening or button cutout is correct.

Controls change
