  2. Slide the switch towards the back of the iPhone until you see an orange stripe.
  3. Your iPhone is now in silent mode, and all incoming calls and alerts will be muted.

To exit silent mode, slide the Ring/Silent switch back towards the front of the iPhone until the orange stripe is no longer visible.
